The Accountability Badge was designed as a foundational, infrastructure, technology device in support of positive community outreach programs for law enforcement and public safety departments both domestically and internationally.
The ABC Badge is designed to either (i) replace the current law enforcement badge, or (ii) serve as a secondary belt-mounted badge, both utilizing our NFC technology, that allows the officer to share his police and department credentials and contact information (accountability data) when offered and/or shared with the general public to (a) improve communication, (b) relax the initial contact environment, (c) defuse misunderstanding, and (d) prevent police imposters and abductions. All of these worthwhile functions help the department restore relations between law enforcement and the general public.
The Accountability Badge can be a vital part of the healing process across our great country. The Accountability Badge communicates, and communications is the catalyst that empowers law enforcement and the general public to interact with civility and safety on both sides of the equation.
The ABC Badge uses NFC technology allowing for badge information to be auto populated on the general public’s device natively, with a simple tap, without the need for an additional application download. The transferred page has a Rate & Review feature which empowers the public to quickly report a problem, or a positive experience, with any law enforcement interaction. The chat with dispatch feature gives the general public the power to ask for help in the form of a second officer, EMS, or Co-Responder if needed.
The ABC Badge also allows the department to monitor events and observe potential behavior issues with individual officers well before they get to the crisis stage.
We believe that accountability is a two-way street. Our companion civilian product, MySafeID, is designed to transfer vital civilian information to the officer with the same simple tap or scan of the MySafeID Window Decal, Window Fob or Key Fob. The officer instantly receives driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration and medical information of the civilian, instantaneously, without the driver having to take their hands off of the wheel. The MySafeID instruction decals on the rear and side window of the vehicle forewarns the officer that they are approaching a civilian who is equally committed to community accountability. Both officers and civilians can begin initial communications with a much more relaxed, civil and safer exchange.
